Helen Khaleghi is a Registered Psychotherapist who supports adults and couples working through trauma and PTSD, anxiety and depression, stress and anger, and relationship concerns. She has particular interest in attachment injuries, co-dependency patterns, and the ways early experiences can shape emotions, self-worth, and connection. Helen offers a steady, structured space where clients can feel supported while also building practical skills for real-life change.
Helen holds two master’s degree in clinical and counselling psychology and brings experience from both private practice and program settings. Her clinical work includes comprehensive intake and assessment, trauma-related measures, collaborative treatment planning, and ongoing documentation aligned with professional standards. She also has experience with risk assessment and safety planning when indicated, consultation/coordination with other providers, and facilitating psychoeducational and therapy groups.
Helen’s approach integrates EMDR, Schema Therapy, DBT skills, and Somatic Trauma work. Depending on client needs, sessions may focus on strengthening regulation and grounding, mapping repeating patterns and triggers, building healthier boundaries, and—when appropriate—processing traumatic memories in a paced and carefully supported way. Her style is warm and direct, with clear goals, transparent collaboration, and attention to readiness.
Helen is committed to anti-oppressive, culturally responsive therapy. As someone who immigrated from Iran, she understands how safety, identity, and access to support can be shaped by culture, systems, and social realities—and how some experiences must be held with particular care. She strives to offer an affirming space for BIPOC clients and others who have felt misunderstood, unseen, or pressured to minimize their lived experience. Helen continues ongoing learning to strengthen her cultural humility and to ensure her work remains inclusive, respectful, and responsive to each client’s context.
